Job Title: Specialized Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Trach & Vent Support

Compensation Range: $30 – $40 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, School Hours (Follows the academic calendar)

Job Overview: A local school district near Los Angeles, CA seeks a compassionate, skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide 1-to-1 care for a medically fragile student. You will manage complex airway and respiratory needs, ensuring a safe, supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1-to-1 nursing care for a student with specialized physical health care needs.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot tracheostomy and mechanical ventilator equipment.
• Perform sterile trach care, clean stoma sites, and change ties/gauze.
• Administer prescribed suctioning, oxygen support, and nebulizer treatments.
• Coordinate closely with the district's credentialed school nurse and special education team.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of treatments, interventions, and student health responses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active, unencumbered California LVN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; pediatric, trach, and vent experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of California school health guidelines and LVN scope of practice.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong communication skills.
