School Nurse (LPN) - Jersey City, NJ

Required Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN license in New Jersey
• Previous experience as an LPN/LVN in a school or pediatric environment preferred
• Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and emergency response
• Excellent communication abilities to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily health and wellness needs of students
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects or reactions
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and document all clinical interactions
• Support chronic condition management and develop care plans in partnership with parents and educational staff
• Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as needed to address student health concerns
• Promote healthy habits and provide health education to students and staff
