Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active LPN license in New Jersey, in good standing
  • Prior pediatric, school-based, or community health nursing experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of quick decision-making in fast-paced situations
  • CPR and First Aid certification (current)
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school protocols
  • Assess and respond to student health needs, including chronic condition management and emergency care
  • Maintain accurate student health records and document all health-related encounters
  • Educate students and staff on wellness and health practices
  • Serve as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and school personnel
  • Participate actively in IEP and 504 meetings as needed
  • Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations
