An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care in a school setting. This position begins September 8, 2026, and is perfectly suited for professionals passionate about working directly with children and making a meaningful difference each day.
In this important position, you will:
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to a student throughout the school day.
- Accompany the student on the bus to and from school to ensure safety and health needs are met.
- Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to promote student wellness and address ongoing healthcare needs.
- Administer medications, monitor chronic health conditions, and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, treatments administered, and any changes in the student’s health status.
- Ensure a comfortable, safe environment for the student and assist with daily activities when needed.
Ideal experience and qualifications include:
- Current LPN, LVN, or RN licensure.
- Prior pediatric, school nursing, or 1:1 care experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate easily with students, school staff, and families.
- Exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and adaptability are essential.
- Willingness to ride the bus with the student daily.
- CPR/BLS certification (required).
