School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Jonesboro, Georgia

Make a difference in students’ lives as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a supportive school setting on a full-time, contract basis this school year. You’ll work closely with educators and families to promote student health, manage minor injuries, assist with routine screenings, and provide critical care as needed throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN or LVN license in good standing
• Experience working with children or within school environments preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to remain calm and resourceful in fast-paced or emergent situations
• Detail-oriented with a caring and approachable demeanor

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medications and treatments to students per physicians’ orders
• Provide first aid for injuries and respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate daily health records, documentation, and compliance with protocols
• Support students with chronic health conditions, assisting with individualized care plans
• Serve as a resource for health education and wellness promotion within the school
• Communicate with parents, staff, and medical professionals as necessary to coordinate care
• Encourage a safe, welcoming school environment for all students
