This full-time licensed vocational nurse (LVN) position is based onsite in the Houston, TX area, supporting a student 1:1 within a school setting. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 26, 2026, with approximately 37.5 hours per week over 10 to 12 weeks. The ideal candidate must hold a current Texas Board of Nursing LVN license and have experience with specialized care such as tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and support to a student with complex medical needs
- Perform medical interventions including tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen saturation monitoring
- Collaborate with school healthcare staff to ensure student safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing activities and student health status
- Adhere to district policies, including fingerprinting and drug screening requirements
Qualifications:
- Active LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, attentive care in a school environment
- Compliance with time-sensitive credentialing such as district fingerprinting and drug screening
- Willingness to work onsite for the full contract duration
