Make an immediate impact as a dedicated LPN supporting student care in an educational environment this summer. A contract opportunity is available providing individualized, compassionate nursing care to a student in a supportive school setting near Kennesaw, GA. This short-term position offers the chance to partner closely with one student, play a vital role in their daily success, and build rewarding connections with school staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current active LPN license in Georgia
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Confident in handling 1:1 care, including monitoring vital signs and detailed documentation
  • Proficient in tube feeding and management/assessment, asthma management, seizure management, and VNS assistance
  • Skilled with all ADLs and transfers; familiar with use of a suction machine
  • Calm under pressure and able to respond swiftly in emergency situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers and parents

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused 1:1 care for a student requiring specialized nursing services
  • Monitor and record vital signs; respond appropriately to changes in the student's condition
  • Manage tube feeding and assess site/feeding needs throughout the day
  • Support with daily living activities, personal care, and student mobility
  • Administer seizure and asthma management protocols, including effective use of devices such as VNS and suction machine
  • Accurately document health information and collaborate with educational staff for continuity of care

This is a contract role for July 6th, 2026 through July 16th, 2026, scheduled for 14 hours weekly (Monday through Thursday, 8:00am – 12:00pm), creating the perfect work-life balance while making a difference in a student's life.
