School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Lakeville, MN

Key Qualifications:

• Current K-12 School Nurse license required
• Background as an LPN or RN with relevant school nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and maintain a “not disqualified” status following MN disciplinary incident research

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver temporary care, first aid, and emergency medical response to students within a single K-8 school building
• Evaluate student health and monitor development, oversee annual vision and hearing screenings, and track health metrics
• Dispense, monitor, and document prescription and over-the-counter medications for students with both acute and chronic health concerns
• Collaborate with physicians and parents to communicate about medication management and adjustments as needed
• Prepare and maintain well-stocked first aid kits for campus use, ensuring readiness at all times
