Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Hold a current K-12 School Nurse license (LPN or RN).
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, showing initiative and sound judgment.
• Maintain eligibility status by successfully completing criminal background and MN disciplinary incident checks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver prompt, compassionate temporary and emergency care, including administering first aid to students as needed within a single K-8 site.
• Assess and monitor student health and developmental status, including conducting annual vision and hearing screenings.
• Manage all aspects of student medication: dispense, monitor, and log medication for acute and chronic health needs. Work closely with physicians and parents to recommend adjustments or changes when appropriate.
• Ensure preparedness by assembling and maintaining first aid kits, guaranteeing both buildings have accessible, up-to-date supplies.
