School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Lakewood, Washington

Bring your expertise in school nursing to a rewarding contract role in a supportive educational setting! A full-time opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide dedicated, compassionate care to a student near Lakewood, WA for the 2026-2027 school year. This position spans from August 31, 2026, through June 23, 2027, with regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours each week.

In this role, you’ll play a crucial part supporting a student who requires G-tube feedings. The family has requested a reliable, one-to-one nurse to assist throughout the school day and offer bus transportation support. When the student is absent, on Wednesdays when students do not attend, or in the afternoons, you’ll have opportunities to contribute your skills by supporting other buildings within the district.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington (WA) LPN license or LPN/LVN certification (required)
• Fingerprinting clearance through OSPI prior to start date
• Experience with G-tube feedings and direct pediatric or school-based nursing (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Professional, flexible, and compassionate approach to care

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care and support, including G-tube feedings
• Accompany the student on bus rides to and from school as needed
• Serve as a health resource and support in other district buildings during available hours
• Maintain detailed health records and coordinate care with family and school teams
• Uphold confidentiality and follow established safety procedures
