School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Step into a rewarding role supporting a high school student as a dedicated 1:1 nurse for the remainder of the school year. This full-time contract position is situated near Lansdale, PA, and is tailored for either an RN or LPN passionate about pediatric and school-based care.

You’ll start your day by meeting the student at her residence between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., accompany her on the school bus, and remain by her side throughout the school day until returning home between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Your expertise will provide peace of mind and essential care, empowering your student to learn and participate fully.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid RN or LPN License in Pennsylvania
• PDE (Pennsylvania Department of Education) clearances (or willingness to obtain)
• School nursing or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Ability to safely perform all required clinical and physical duties
• Prior experience working 1:1 with medically complex students is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full care support to a non-ambulatory student throughout the day
• Manage G-tube feedings and medications, morning and noon, using a pump
• Conduct frequent tracheostomy and oral suctioning, monitor pulse oximetry continuously
• Utilize O2 support as needed and maintain vigilance during illness
• Reposition student every two hours; perform diaper changes and lifting as necessary
• Ensure the student follows her stander program for one hour daily
• Foster a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment at school and on transport
