Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active LPN license (Massachusetts)
- Previous experience as an LPN or LVN, preferably in a school, pediatric, or community health setting
- Strong assessment and clinical skills, with the ability to respond quickly and calmly in medical situations
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, faculty, and administrators
- Proficient in maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality standards
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare to students, including assessment, first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions
- Maintain and update health records; communicate health needs and care plans with staff and parents
- Support the creation and implementation of individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs
- Participate in health screenings, immunization tracking, and the promotion of wellness initiatives within the school
- Serve as a resource for health education and disease prevention
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and facilitate referrals to outside medical providers as needed
