School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Levittown, Pennsylvania

Bring your nursing expertise and passion for supporting students to an engaging contract role as a Staff Nurse/Teaching Assistant. This opportunity offers meaningful work in an educational setting, with weekday hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 3:45 pm.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference by supporting students’ well-being and participating in their academic journey. Most days focus on assisting in the classroom, guiding students to inclusion classes, and providing valuable help as a teaching assistant. While daily nursing tasks are minimal, your clinical background will be essential in the second room, where you'll assist with students who require tube feeding, seizure monitoring, medication administration, and aspiration oversight during meals.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current LPN/LVN license
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar environment preferred
• CPR certification and experience in seizure protocol, tube feeding, and medication administration
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and initiative as a team player
• Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff
• Comfortable adapting to new settings and willing to sub in multiple locations when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff, fulfill TA duties, and accompany students to inclusion classes
• Provide nursing care as needed for tube feeds, medication administration, seizure and aspiration monitoring
• Collaborate with other nurses and staff to cover breaks or fill in at other locations as necessary
• Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for all students
