School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Liberty, Missouri

Make a real impact supporting students with complex medical needs in an engaging school environment! Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) are needed to provide high-quality care in a specialized program serving approximately 50 students. Due to the elevated medical requirements of the student population, you’ll collaborate closely with a fellow nurse and classroom staff, ensuring individualized attention and support throughout the school day.

In this role, you’ll spend your days moving between classrooms, delivering on-site, direct care. You’ll be responsible for essential medical tasks such as feeding (including managing g-tubes), toileting assistance, seizure management, wheelchair transfers, and lifting as required. This is a Monday through Friday position, working 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy your evenings and weekends while still playing a crucial part in the school community.

Qualified candidates will bring:

• Current, valid LPN or LVN licensure
• Previous experience with pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Confident skills in feeding assistance, g-tube care, toileting, seizure response, and mobility support
• Physical ability for frequent lifting and wheelchair transfers
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Compassion, patience, and a collaborative spirit when working within classrooms

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct, in-classroom nursing care for students with diverse and intensive medical needs
• Monitoring and responding swiftly to changes in students’ health status
• Working hand-in-hand with another on-site nurse and the teaching staff
• Keeping thorough health records and communicating effectively with families and school administration
