Open positions include a full-time opportunity, working one-on-one with a 10th-grade student with diabetes from 7:30 am to 2:55 pm, and a unique bus riding only schedule, with split hours from 7:15 am–9:15 am and again from 1:30 pm–3:45 pm. Both roles require exceptional attention, compassion, and a strong clinical background to foster a healthy learning atmosphere.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Current LPN or RN licensure, valid for practice
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or healthcare setting
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to manage diabetes care, including glucose monitoring and documentation
• Comfortable working one-on-one and managing any health needs arising on the school bus
• Dedication to confidentiality, student safety, and collaboration with staff and families

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing skilled, personalized care for assigned student(s), including glucose checks, medication administration, and daily monitoring
• Communicating with students, parents/guardians, and school staff regarding health concerns
• Responding promptly and effectively to medical emergencies
• Completing necessary health documentation and maintaining accurate records
