This contract position offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time schedules to best fit your lifestyle.
There are two shifts available: a full-time role from 7:45am to 2:55pm providing 1:1 care to a 10th-grade student with diabetes, and a bus-riding nurse schedule—mornings from 7:15am to 9:15am and afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:45pm. Your expertise will ensure each student’s safety and well-being throughout their school day.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active LPN or RN license required
- Experience in a school, pediatric, or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration, is advantageous
- Able to provide compassionate, student-focused care
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one medical support, including diabetes management and routine care
- Monitor student health and react promptly to emergencies
- Administer medications and conduct routine health assessments as needed
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and healthcare professionals to coordinate quality care
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
