A school-based short-term opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Lincolnton, NC, to provide personalized care for a student with health impairments. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, concluding in the last week of May.
The student, who is in the mid-elementary grades, requires dedicated nursing support throughout the school day, approximately from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Responsibilities include catheter and diaper changing, as well as ongoing health monitoring and assistance to ensure the student’s well-being and comfort.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN or LVN licensure
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school health settings preferred
- Ability to perform catheter care and other specialized health assistance tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educational staff

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care as required by the student’s health plan
- Monitor the student’s condition and report any significant changes promptly
- Assist with personal hygiene, including diaper and catheter changing
