Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active LPN or LVN license in California, in good standing
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though not required
- Strong clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of nursing best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to dynamic situations
- CPR/BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer daily medications, first aid, and emergency care as needed
- Monitor student health needs, including chronic condition management (e.g., diabetes, asthma)
- Maintain accurate medical records and compliance with privacy guidelines
- Communicate health concerns and care plans to teachers, parents, and other school personnel
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insight
- Educate students and staff on health topics, prevention, and wellness promotion
- Support public health protocols within the school community
