School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Livingston Manor, New York

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) to support a school close to Livingston Manor, NY. Several contract positions are currently open, offering stable, Monday through Friday schedules so you can achieve an excellent work-life balance.

Currently, there are two roles available:

• Full-time School Nurse: 7:45am–2:55pm, working one-on-one with a 10th-grade student managing diabetes throughout the entire school day.
• Bus-Riding School Nurse: Split schedule 7:15am–9:15am and 1:30pm–3:45pm, riding with and caring for a student to and from school.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active LPN or RN license in New York State
• Previous experience as a school nurse, LPN/LVN in schools, or comparable pediatric and/or diabetes care expertise strongly preferred
• Compassionate approach to student healthcare and confidentiality
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and nursing staff
• Detail-oriented and capable of documenting health information accurately

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct nursing support to an assigned student, with an emphasis on diabetes management and general wellness
• Administering prescribed medication, conducting health assessments, and responding to emergencies
• Maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to district and state health regulations
• Fostering positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
