School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Long Beach, California

This role is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who enjoys working part-time and making a difference in school communities. You’ll serve as a dedicated onsite nurse near Long Beach, CA, from June 15 to July 12, working mornings from 8:00am to 12:15pm, Monday through Friday.

What you’ll need:

• Active LPN or LVN license in California
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• CPR certification (current and valid)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently onsite

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on nursing care, first aid, and emergency support to students and staff during the summer session
• Administer prescribed medications and assist with treatments as outlined in student care plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive environment, helping to manage chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to advocate for students’ health needs
