Seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a male student requiring specialized nursing care. This contract opportunity is based in a school environment near Lynn, MA, and involves working with an Out of District student as part of an ongoing educational plan. The position anticipates approximately 40 hours per week, including support during school transportation, over the summer, and into the academic year. The assignment is expected to continue through the remainder of the 2025/26 school year, with the possibility of extension into 2026/27.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Massachusetts LPN or RN nursing license is required.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in school or pediatric settings preferred.
- Comfortable providing direct 1:1 healthcare services, including support during transportation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, medical monitoring, and health management tailored to the student’s specific needs.
- Accompany and support the student on school transportation routes as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to meet the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
- Maintain compliance with district and state nursing policies.
