Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active LPN license required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is desirable but not mandatory
- Comfortable working 1:1 with students who may have complex medical needs
- Ability to communicate clearly with school staff, students, and families
- Flexibility to manage a range of student needs and assist with both medical and academic support as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care according to each student’s individual medical plan, including possible trach care, G-tube management, vent care, seizure monitoring, diabetic support, toileting assistance, and medication administration
- Accompany students on bus rides as part of their daily care, when assigned
- Support students’ involvement in classroom activities, offering help with academics if required
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student care and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure seamless integration of healthcare and education
