Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a medically fragile student in a year-round school setting. This role is ideal for an LPN or RN with school-based experience who is passionate about making a positive impact and is comfortable working with students with disabilities. The position spans 20 hours per week and is set to begin as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year, with potential to extend into the summer session as well.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN or RN license required for New Hampshire
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with children strongly preferred
  • Comfortable and experienced in following seizure protocols, including monitoring and response for students with epilepsy
  • Ability to support students with physical and speech limitations
  • Compassionate demeanor and commitment to student safety and well-being

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a reliable bus monitor for a medically fragile student, ensuring their safety and health during transit to and from school
  • Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring for seizures and addressing any emergent medical needs according to established protocols
  • Support the student with any required physical or communication assistance during transportation
  • Collaborate with family members and school staff to support continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required by school nursing protocols

You’ll enjoy a predictable weekday schedule (Monday-Friday), riding with the student from home to school and back, totaling four hours of care daily. Conveniently, family members allow parking in their driveway for ease of pick-up and drop-off.
