School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Merrimack, NH

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the health and well-being of middle school students as an LPN. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing 1:1 care for two students throughout the academic year and during a brief, focused summer session.

As a vital member of the school community, you’ll foster a safe and supportive environment while delivering attentive and professional nursing services. This position spans the full school year with traditional hours from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Additional coverage is required for a four-week summer program running from July 7 to July 28, Monday through Thursday, four hours per day (exact summer hours will be determined).

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN license in good standing
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to provide compassionate 1:1 care and manage the specific medical needs of students
• Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive health care to assigned students, including medication administration, monitoring of chronic conditions, and first aid as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school personnel and guardians
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and ensure all interventions align with individualized health care plans
• Support students in their daily activities, encouraging participation and promoting independence where possible
• Maintain a supportive, hygienic, and safe environment in compliance with school policies and nursing best practices
