Key Qualifications:
- Current LPN or RN license
- Experience in a school setting (preferred)
- Skilled in seizure monitoring and emergency response
- Proficient in administering Diastat or willing to obtain training
- Dedicated, attentive, and able to build rapport with high school students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ride the school bus with a high school student, ensuring their well-being before and after school
- Closely monitor for seizure activity, provide immediate interventions, and document observations
- Administer Diastat as needed and follow emergency protocols
- Maintain a supportive and calm environment for the student throughout the commute
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers regarding the student’s needs
