School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active K-12 School Nurse license is essential
• Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in a school setting is highly valued
• Confidence working with limited supervision and exercising sound judgment
• Ability to maintain “not disqualified” status following criminal background and MN disciplinary record checks

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver temporary and emergency care or first aid to students in need, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day
• Conduct ongoing evaluation and assessment of students’ health and developmental status, including organizing annual vision and hearing screenings
• Dispense, monitor, and meticulously maintain records for medications administered for both acute and chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and families to discuss and recommend adjustments to medication regimens when necessary
• Prepare and manage first aid kits for the building, ensuring supplies are ready and accessible
