Key Qualifications:

• Active, valid K-12 School Nurse license
• Experience as an LPN or RN within a school environment highly valued
• Confidence working both independently and under minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a “not disqualified” status following a criminal background check and Minnesota disciplinary review

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver urgent first aid and emergency care to students in a single K-8 building as needed
• Perform routine and annual health evaluations, including vision and hearing screenings to monitor each child’s well-being
• Administer, monitor, and document medications for all students, addressing both immediate and chronic medical concerns
• Collaborate with physicians and families, communicating recommendations for medication adjustments to ensure optimal care
• Prepare first aid kits and maintain readiness for both immediate needs and planned activities
• Contribute to a supportive, responsive health office as a reliable resource for both students and staff
