School Nurse (LPN) - Minneapolis, MN

A contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide both nursing and paraprofessional support in a high school setting in Minneapolis, MN. This role primarily focuses on supporting one student with specialized needs, working mostly 1:1, with occasional assistance to other students.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering nursing care tailored to the student's needs, approximately 20% of the caseload
• Assisting with paraprofessional duties such as classroom support and student supervision, about 80% of the caseload
• Collaborating closely with an Intervener to ensure comprehensive support for the student
• Maintaining accurate records and monitoring the student’s health and safety throughout the school day

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid LPN/LVN licensure with school nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Previous experience supporting students with special needs in a school environment is a plus
