Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Monroe, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted LPN or RN license
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong familiarity with seizure protocols
• Demonstrated ability to administer Diastat when necessary
• Detail-oriented with excellent observation skills
• Reliable and dependable, with punctuality for all transport times

Primary Duties:

• Accompany a high school student on school bus routes to and from school
• Closely monitor for signs of seizures or medical distress during transit
• Provide immediate intervention as needed, including administering Diastat per physician orders and in accordance with school protocol
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of all health events and interventions
• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and transportation personnel to ensure coordinated care
• Support and comfort the student, fostering a safe and trusting environment during all bus rides
