Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Montgomery, AL

Bring your passion for student health to a dynamic school environment as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a contract basis. In this role, you will support the well-being of students, providing essential nursing care that contributes to a positive and safe educational setting. As a vital member of the school’s health services team, you’ll play a meaningful part in helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Current, active LPN license in good standing
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
• Strong clinical and assessment skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and families
• Familiarity with documentation, medication administration, and care planning
• Comfortable responding to emergencies and adapting to new environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily, hands-on nursing care for students with acute illnesses, chronic conditions, or injuries
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school protocols
• Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and communication with school staff
• Support the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students as needed
• Offer first aid and emergency care when necessary, including assessment and triage of health concerns
• Educate students and staff on wellness topics, infection control, and healthy habits
