School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Monticello, NY

You’ll play a vital role in student wellbeing, with open positions that include working full-time 1:1 with a 10th-grade student requiring diabetes management and a split-shift “Bus Riding Only” role supporting transportation needs.

What we’re seeking:

• Current, active LPN or RN license in New York State
• Prior experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or a related healthcare setting
• Solid understanding of diabetes care including blood glucose monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Compassion, adaptability, and the ability to work independently

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students according to their medical needs and IHPs
• Monitor and manage blood sugar levels, dietary needs, and medication for students with diabetes
• Accompany students during bus rides, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Actively document care provided and communicate updates with parents and school teams
• Participate in school health activities and collaborate with educational staff

• 1:1 Full-Time: 7:30am-2:55pm
• Bus Riding Only: 7:15am-9:15am and 1:30pm-3:45pm
