Each assignment aligns with an individual student who requires dedicated medical support—including possible assistance with trach care, G-tube, vent management, seizure monitoring, diabetic management, toileting, and more. Some caseloads also involve accompanying students on the bus, ensuring their well-being beyond the classroom.
Your day will be dynamic, engaging you with both clinical skills and the chance to help with academics, fostering a supportive learning environment for students with varying healthcare needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is strongly preferred
- Comfort with any or all of the following: trach care, G-tube, vent care, seizure interventions, diabetic care, toileting needs, bus riding, and classroom academic support
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Flexibility to accommodate changing needs as medical plans evolve
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide vigilant 1:1 care tailored to your assigned student’s medical requirements
- Monitor health status and document all care provided
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment
- Assist with daily academic participation as appropriate
- Safely support students on bus rides if assigned
