Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in the Las Vegas area as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within a school environment. This on-site, full-time position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through October 12, 2026, and includes two hands-on training sessions scheduled for the afternoon of August 4 and the morning of August 7. Candidates must be ready to support a 1:1 student assignment that involves tracheostomy care and, ideally, experience with gastrostomy tube (GT) feeds. You’ll work in locations around Flamingo and Boulder Highway up to Henderson.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active LPN license required
- Active CPR/BLS certification mandatory
- Experience in schools, particularly in LPN or LVN roles, is strongly preferred
- Prior practice with students who require trach care; familiarity with GT feeds a plus
- Ability to manage full-time hours and adapt to changing school assignments
- Present current LPN license, updated resume, driver’s license photo, and candidate email upon submission
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting, with district support for the process
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing assistance to a student, ensuring both safety and dignity
- Deliver care for trach and GT feed as needed and follow student health plans
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support the student’s daily participation
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all district and healthcare protocols
This temporary assignment will not be extended beyond the specified dates. Interviews are scheduled for June 26, 2026, in half-hour blocks beginning at 9am PST.
