Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Connecticut LPN license—required for consideration
- Demonstrated patience and a strong ability to build positive relationships with students
- Proven experience managing seizures in a clinical or school setting
- School nursing experience preferred, but not required—new to school environments are welcome
- Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and address health needs for students throughout the school day
- Monitor and respond appropriately to seizure activity and related emergencies
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records
- Collaborate with school staff to support students’ educational and medical plans
- Offer first aid, assess illness/injury, and make appropriate referrals when necessary
- Educate students and staff on health practices as needed
