A school in the New Britain, CT area is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile student at the high school level. This position follows a set schedule on Wednesdays, ideal for professionals looking for consistent, predictable hours within the school environment.

Key qualifications:

• Current LPN license in Connecticut
• Valid BLS/CPR certification
• Previous experience as an LPN in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong professionalism, reliability, and commitment to student wellness
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and communicate effectively with families

Role overview:

• Deliver attentive, individualized care to a medically fragile student throughout the school day
• Monitor, assess, and address the student’s health needs per their care plan
• Administer medications and support with daily needs as required
• Maintain thorough documentation and clear communication with families and school health officials
• Uphold safety and infection control procedures in the school environment
• Work every Wednesday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, with a shortened end time of 12:10pm on early release days
• Assignment dates include: Sept 16; Oct 7, 21, 28; Nov 11, 18; Dec 9, 16; Jan 6, 13, 27; Feb 3, 10, 24; March 31; April 7, 21, 28; May 12, 19, 26
