Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Newark, NJ

Support a 7-year-old student in Hudson County by providing dedicated nursing care in a school setting. This contract opportunity is designed for a compassionate RN or LPN/LVN with a passion for pediatric care and a willingness to make a lasting impact during the 2026/2027 school year. You’ll serve as a 1:1 nurse, helping ensure the student’s health, safety, and comfort throughout the academic day—including bus transportation. Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN or LPN/LVN license in New Jersey
• Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills
• Ability to ride and supervise on the school bus as required
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with school staff and families
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care and health monitoring for the student throughout the school day
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the student’s healthcare plan
• Monitor and document the student’s medical status and communicate changes or concerns as needed
• Accompany the student on bus rides to and from school, ensuring health and safety during transport
• Serve as a liaison with teachers, school staff, and the student’s family
• Maintain compliance with all school health protocols and state regulations
