Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active LPN license in New Jersey
- Previous clinical experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, or community healthcare setting
- Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality in compliance with state and federal regulations
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Compassionate approach to working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer basic first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed
- Dispense daily medications and monitor for any side effects or adverse reactions
- Track immunization records and communicate with families regarding student health concerns
- Support students with chronic health needs, including diabetes, asthma, and allergy management
- Serve as a liaison between school, families, and healthcare providers
- Maintain detailed health records in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Promote a healthy school environment through health education, prevention strategies, and collaboration with teaching staff
