Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active LPN license in New Jersey
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents strongly preferred

  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and staff
  • Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced nature of school health offices

Primary Duties:

  • Assess and address daily student health needs, including managing minor injuries and illnesses
  • Administer prescribed medications and provide treatments according to physician orders and school procedures
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation for each student encounter
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to support student health plans
  • Educate students on healthy habits and hygiene
  • Provide care during school activities or field trips as needed
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming clinic for students across all grade levels
