Key Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN license in New Jersey
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents strongly preferred
- Familiarity with basic first aid, chronic disease management (such as diabetes or asthma), and medication administration
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and staff
- Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced nature of school health offices
Primary Duties:
- Assess and address daily student health needs, including managing minor injuries and illnesses
- Administer prescribed medications and provide treatments according to physician orders and school procedures
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation for each student encounter
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to support student health plans
- Educate students on healthy habits and hygiene
- Provide care during school activities or field trips as needed
- Ensure a safe, welcoming clinic for students across all grade levels
