- Comfortable accompanying students on the school bus to ensure safety and support
- Adept in confidentiality, professionalism, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and FERPA
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily, individualized care to a student according to their health plan
- Monitor and manage chronic and acute health conditions during the school day and bus rides
- Administer medications and oversee medical devices or interventions as required
- Serve as a point of contact between families, healthcare providers, and school staff regarding the student’s health
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all nursing interventions
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention, if necessary
