Qualifications & Experience:
- Active LVN/LPN license required for the state
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred
- Understanding of care protocols for school-aged children
- Capable of responding effectively to medical needs and emergencies
- Skilled in communication, teamwork, and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and monitoring of health conditions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ health and well-being
- Respond promptly to injuries and manage emergency situations
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies
- Educate students and staff on healthy practices and preventive care
- Support IEP/504 plan implementation as it pertains to student health needs
