Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Nipomo, CA

As an onsite LVN, you’ll contribute to a team committed to positive student outcomes, managing daily nursing care while promoting safety and well-being in a school setting.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active and unrestricted California LVN license is required
• Previous school nursing or pediatric experience is highly valued
• Ability to adapt to different grade levels and health needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
• Organized, reliable, and able to respond calmly in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on nursing care, respond to medical emergencies, and deliver routine treatments as needed throughout the school day
• Work 32.5 hours per week during the regular school year in accordance with district policies
• Participate as part of an LVN Pool, supporting a diverse range of students across campus
• Keep accurate and confidential health records, and communicate essential information to appropriate school staff
• Coordinate with families and staff regarding student care plans, medications, and clinical updates
• Sign up for extra hours as available during summer services (ESY participation is optional, based on assignment availability)
