School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Norristown, PA

A fulfilling opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a high school female student in a 1:1 setting. Located near both Norristown and Lansdale, this contract position runs full-time through the end of the school year, with an immediate start date. The nurse will meet the student at her residence in the Lansdale area each morning, accompany her on the bus to school, remain with her throughout the school day, and accompany her back home in the afternoon.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric nursing role strongly preferred
• PDE clearances required for employment
• Ability to provide total patient care, including lifting, positioning, and hygiene needs
• Skilled in G-tube feedings/medications, tracheostomy management, suctioning, and pulse oximetry
• Comfortable with 1:1 assignments and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Punctuality and reliability for early morning shifts (arrival at residence by 6:30-6:45 a.m., and drop off at residence by 2:30-2:45 p.m.)

Role Responsibilities:

• Meet the student at her Lansdale area residence
• Safely accompany her to and from school via bus and monitor health en route
• Provide comprehensive care during all waking hours: bilateral MAFOS, stander program, G-tube feedings and medications, tracheostomy management, suctioning, and oxygen therapy as needed
• Ensure regular repositioning and hygiene care, including diaper changes and total assistance
• Maintain clear communication with school staff, family, and relevant health professionals
