Step into a rewarding role supporting a kindergarten student with complex medical needs in a vibrant elementary school environment. This full-time contract position runs Monday through Friday, 7:45am – 2:15pm, beginning September 2, 2026, with an initial three-month trial period. You’ll work 1:1 with a non-verbal female student diagnosed with CDKL5 deficiency disorder, global developmental delay, and epilepsy, providing essential care and support during her school day. Your specialized skills will make a tangible difference, especially in managing frequent myoclonic and tonic seizure activity, including administration of nasal spray seizure medication as required. Currently, there are no transportation (bus riding) duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current LPN or LVN licensure
  • Previous pediatric experience, ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Skilled in seizure monitoring and emergency intervention
  • Knowledge of care strategies for global developmental delays and non-verbal students
  • Ability to respond quickly and compassionately in high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated, compassionate care for a student with significant seizure disorder
  • Monitor and document seizure activity; administer prescribed nasal spray seizure medication
  • Support the student’s daily medical, developmental, and personal needs
  • Collaborate with classroom staff, school nurses, and families to ensure a safe, inclusive environment
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and communication with relevant team members
