LPN - School in Oakland, CA

A part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a preschool student in an early childhood setting, located in Oakland, CA. This position is ideal for a nurse experienced in seizure monitoring and medication administration within educational environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous seizure monitoring and medication administration for one preschool student.
• Follow care plans and protocols established by the district nurse, with training provided on-site.
• Collaborate closely with the student’s 1:1 paraprofessional to ensure comprehensive support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate any changes in student health status promptly.
• Uphold safety standards and respond to health-related emergencies as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid licensure as an LPN or LVN.
• Experience working in a school or early childhood setting preferred.
• Skilled in seizure management and medication administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong observational and documentation skills.
• Must be available for part-time hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:10 PM.

Location:
Oakland, CA – Single early childhood school site.

Position Details:

• Contract role through the current school year (ASAP start through June 4th).
• Part-time, approximately 15.5 hours per week.
