Step into a highly impactful nursing role supporting a fragile student for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position runs from September 9, 2026, to June 16, 2027, requiring a caring and reliable LPN. You’ll work one-on-one, delivering essential medical care and companionship throughout the school day—and during daily bus rides to and from campus. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant difference in this student’s educational journey by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington (WA) LPN license or willingness to obtain one before the start date
- Experience caring for medically fragile children or students preferred
- Comfortable working with feeding tubes, including administration and care
- Ability and willingness to ride the school bus daily with student
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI or able to begin this process promptly
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one medical care throughout the school day, tailored to the student’s unique needs
- Monitor vital signs, administer medication, and manage feeding tubes as necessary
- Supervise the student during transport on the school bus, ensuring medical safety at all times
- Document care accurately and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Collaborate with educators, special services, and healthcare staff for holistic student support
