Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Active LPN or LVN license in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting is highly desirable
• Ability to assess, manage, and document student health concerns with professionalism
• Proficiency in first aid, medication administration, and emergency response protocols
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and school staff
• Resourceful, patient, and adaptable approach to handle diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and minor injuries, providing assessment and appropriate intervention
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and school guidelines
• Educate students and staff on topics such as wellness, disease prevention, and managing chronic conditions
• Support students with special healthcare needs, including individualized healthcare plan (IHP) implementation
• Communicate regularly with families and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
• Contribute to a safe, healthy learning environment for all students
