The role involves providing care in the school's health room, addressing a variety of student health needs throughout the school day. This part-time position is contract-based for the current school year, with potential for increased hours depending on district requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care and support to students in the health room environment.
  • Monitor student health conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with school staff to manage student health plans and emergency situations.
  • Attend a mandatory orientation and training session before beginning work.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate health documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida LPN license required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site exclusively at assigned school locations.

Location and Work Schedule:

  • Positions available within Duval County Public Schools in the Jacksonville area.
  • Assignments typically at one school location, including elementary, middle, or high schools.
  • Part-time (PRN) with potential for full-time hours based on district needs.
  • Contract duration: January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026.
