Begin an exciting contract opportunity providing dedicated support to a student in a local school setting. This position offers a unique chance to make a direct impact, working closely with students with significant healthcare needs in an educational environment. This contract spans the entire 2026-2027 school year, following the assigned school calendar, and is ideal for compassionate LPNs who have experience with pediatrics and are ready for a fulfilling, student-focused role.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota LPN License, active and in good standing
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • Demonstrated experience with pediatric or school-based nursing (including special education or home health cases)
  • Willingness and ability to ride the school bus to and from the student’s home to school daily
  • Comfortable developing, executing, and documenting individualized healthcare plans for students with disabilities
  • Strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of high-need students, delivering attentive and comprehensive care
  • Availability for a pre-assignment virtual or in-person interview
  • Reliable documentation and communication skills, with a professional, supportive approach

Core Responsibilities:

  • Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year
  • 1:1 care for a designated student, monitoring health status and delivering nursing interventions as required
  • Maintain thorough daily documentation of care, communicating regularly with school staff and guardians as needed
  • Participate in all student transportation, ensuring continuity and safety to and from home and school
  • Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support the student’s overall experience
