School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Paterson, New Jersey

A full-time nursing position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a high school located in Union City, NJ. This contract role offers a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM during the school year, providing an opportunity to engage with students in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessments, first aid, medication administration, and health education.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to manage student health plans and promote wellness.
• Assist in monitoring and managing communicable diseases within the school setting.
• Support bus riding health protocols to ensure student safety during transportation.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with state and federal regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• Experience working in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of adolescent health issues and confidentiality requirements.
