Qualifications and Experience:
- Active LPN or LVN license in New Jersey
- Experience providing care in a pediatric, school, or clinical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and emergency protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily health services for students, including medication administration, first aid, and management of chronic conditions (such as diabetes, asthma, allergies)
- Maintain accurate health records and follow state and school policies for confidential documentation
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, collaborating with school leadership and external providers as necessary
- Support educational staff with health education and student wellness initiatives
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams about student health concerns and care plans
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings as requested, contributing insight into individualized healthcare plans
