Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Paterson, NJ

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active LPN or LVN license in New Jersey
• Experience providing care in a pediatric, school, or clinical setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and emergency protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily health services for students, including medication administration, first aid, and management of chronic conditions (such as diabetes, asthma, allergies)
• Maintain accurate health records and follow state and school policies for confidential documentation
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, collaborating with school leadership and external providers as necessary
• Support educational staff with health education and student wellness initiatives
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams about student health concerns and care plans
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as requested, contributing insight into individualized healthcare plans
