School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Peoria, AZ

Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in a school setting on a one-to-one assignment. This contract position is located in the Peoria, AZ area and provides the chance to make a meaningful difference in a student’s day-to-day school life. With a consistent 40-hour work week and bus riding responsibilities, you’ll play a vital role supporting a student’s educational journey and well-being.

What You’ll Need:

• Active LPN license; eligibility to practice in Arizona
• Previous experience as an LPN/LVN, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Ability to provide care in a 1:1 capacity
• Flexibility and willingness to ride the school bus with the student as required
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A compassionate, patient approach to working with children
• Must pass background and health screenings as required for school-based roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering daily health and medical support for a designated student throughout the school day and during transport on the school bus
• Administering medications and treatments per the student’s care plan
• Communicating health status updates with school staff and student’s family as necessary
• Completing required medical documentation and following school health protocols
• Responding to health emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and safety
