School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

An exciting opportunity awaits for an RN or LPN interested in providing dedicated 1:1 care to a high school student in Lansdale, PA, on a full-time contract basis through the end of the school year. As part of this assignment, you will play a vital role in supporting the student's medical needs both at home and at school, ensuring safety, comfort, and continuity of care during their educational journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in Pennsylvania
• Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric patients preferred
• Current PDE (Pennsylvania Department of Education) clearances, or willingness to obtain them
• Reliable transportation to residence in the Lansdale area
• Ability to perform lifting and total assistance care
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and professionalism

Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the student’s residence between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., and ride the bus to and from school
• Remain with the student throughout the full school day, accompanying them in all routines
• Provide thorough care for a non-ambulatory student, including repositioning every two hours, diaper changes, and lifting
• Manage G tube feedings via pump (morning and noon), medication administration, and multiple tracheostomy and oral suctioning interventions as needed
• Engage with the student’s stander program (one hour daily)
• Monitor oxygen requirements, using a continuous pulse oximeter and administering O2 as needed
• Maintain detailed health records and collaborate with school staff and family members for seamless care
