Licensed 1:1 School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Piedmont, South Carolina

This position is ideal for a passionate and certified LPN with experience in ventilator care, who values forging impactful, one-on-one relationships while supporting a student’s growth and independence.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to work closely with a cognitively high-functioning student with paralysis, ensuring that their medical and daily needs are met, both during the school day and while commuting on the bus.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active LPN license required
• Previous experience with ventilator-dependent patients strongly preferred
• Certification for school nursing or eligibility to obtain certification
• High school diploma or proof of equivalent education
• Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care
• Comfortable working 1:1 with a student and collaborating with educators
• Willingness to ride the bus to and from school with the student

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive daily care for a high school student with paralysis, including ventilator management
• Accompany the student during bus transportation to and from school
• Monitor and document health status, collaborating with school staff and parents as needed
• Implement and follow care plans, making necessary adjustments in accordance with physician guidance
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes autonomy and engagement during the school day

Enjoy a consistent schedule of about 30 hours per week with Wednesdays off, as the student does not attend school midweek—giving you a well-deserved break in the middle of your week.
